Remember the three Stooges and the one wi the basin barnet cut allus stickin two bread hooks in the other geezers mince pies? Looked funny in the flicks but a very deadly fighting tactic, especially in the old days when boxing gloves had the loose thumb not like now with the thumb attached to the glove to prevent eye gouging when in a clinch in the blind side of the referee. In a crisis situation, sticking the rigid thumb in the nose corner of the opponents mince pie and gouge outwardly so the mince pie  easily comes out and lands on the cheek, saves a lot o time fukkin about wrestling around on the deck!

I think the one with the basin cut was called Mo! but my memory is shot to bits now so could be wrong!
