Deafness comes to the rescue! 😆Â
When you go to these shows, there is always some twat spouting off about the virtues of some weapon or other.Yet when asked about their previous military service, you received the reply well I haven't actually served only in the boys brigade.
There were a load of army cadets at the show with some real bloaters among them, especially the young girls, so obviously physical exercise isn't in the training plan, and a few clearly mentally and physically disabled in there to show their woke equal opportunities outlook. The display stands were mostly reservist units including RA, RE, RLC and Maureens, with quite a good showing of weapons and equipment. TLO was shocked by the weight of body armour when invited to try it on, the heaviest type weighs around 30lb before even adding your equipment and weapon, glad I'm not running around with that on anymore!
Feeling my age now Dave, was up the steps on Sunday taking down a big brass curtain rail left by the previous owner. When he screwed the fitments in he buggered the screw slots up. What a bloody job that was and the rawl plugs were putting up resistance. Bringing half the plaster away with them. Had to use half a box of Polyfilla to fix it. I was sweating buckets by the time I finished. Getting old ain't for wimps!
At least you're doing it Bob, I read that 80% of the younger lot call in a 'professional' if they need so much as a lightbulb changed, and throw away any electrical stuff if the fuse blows or plug breaks! 🙄Â
It's surprising how many people don't have a clue about simple tasks, like painting a room these days look behind radiator and see how many have been removed for painting, not a lot yet it makes all the difference to a room rather than painting behind them with a radiator brush. take the bloody thing off it's simple and quicker to do the job properly. just remember how many turns you do to shut each valve off before you drain it!
Sorting out adjustments it fly's a lot quicker. We need some rainÂ

Looks alright to me jack, that old roundabout is a bit quieter than the ones round here, with all the foreign traffic you take your life in your hand entering them.
That is the broadland north way Bob give it time that whole area will be housing thankfully not in my time
