Dave that sums it up in a nutshell mate! 🤣Â
Fell off the bike in March. Took nearly 3 months for my shoulder to heal. Due to warmer weather it's more enjoyable to get out. The cycling gear is always ready at the back door I do tend to give it a miss if its raining

Wind and rain, the enemy of the cyclist Jack! 😨Â
Re done the cycle video filming in 4k takes a lot of memory
Â
Lovely day for a bike ride Jack through some brill hurdy gurdy terrain, just ave ta watch out fer them shotgun totin farmers! Complete with car prang az well! 😫Â
I do see a lot of groups metal detecting Sundays seem a favourite day. Nothing in the news about the RTA they come past that x roads quite fast even though its 40
It would be just your luck Jack to do the same speed and bump into two plod in a car eating Haribo Star mix.🤣🤣🤣
Ideal terrain for cycling that Jack, really enjoyable without busting your bollox. However, the terain in the Dark Peak, bollock breaking climbs and remember climbing up from Hathersage the back way on mi way back to the gaff, a real bastard of a climb that gets steeper as you pedal further up. Almost totally fukked feightin fer breath a passed a young lad dry stone walling n az a got adjacent to im, he shouted, "Az tha got the reight time on thi pal?" A just ad enuff strength left ta croak, "Fukk Off!" 😰Â
I can just imagine them climbs Dave I get the young lads pass me on their £5k plus bikes. A few years ago we would ride at 18mph average now its just under 12 but am working on it.
I suppose if your well into it in a competitive way you would probably pay that sort of money, trouble with me is I can still recall when you could buy a house for that sort of money. here's an example for you in 1962, I bought a two up two down terraced house with a kitchen and bathroom downstairs in Newbiggin By The sea Northumberland, for £1760.00 pounds. Frightening when you think back eh?Â
First gaff a bought wuz a 3 bedroom Edwardian End Terrace in 74, cost 4k. Fukk noze worrits weth taday?
Back in the late 70's a terrace house was cheaper than a new car
Our house on Portland, bought in the 50's for £180, sold in about '72 for £3500, last seen about 15 yrs ago sold for about 50 quid under 300 grand! My house at the moment under offer for about 35 grand less than I paid 16 yrs ago and now have to jump through hoops to get certificates for the log burner, Rayburn range, boiler, septic tank etc, and I'm not even the one wanting to move! The things we have to go through for wimmin!!
Foresight would be a good thing instead of I wish I had!
