Like the Avatar  Ian, we all wore kit like that for school mate, remember standing in ranks getting inspected by the teachers, Hands, Hair, Face, Teeth, Socks pulled up and shoes polished. Nearly as bad as muster parade in the mob, wonder if they still do that with kids now.?

I remember getting battered around the lugs with a wooden ruler for not paying attention a time or two Ian. It was nowt to see a blackboard rubber whistling through the air during a maths lesson at somebody buggering about!

Listening to TLO talking to her son's fiancee,who's a primary school teacher yesterday. Her main concerns were talking to 10 yr olds about the perils of sending 'dick pics' to each other,vaping,and of course the ever present changing gender on a whim. Doesn't seem to be much of her work day left for actually teaching the little bastards,and any kind of physical punishment or chucking things at them to get their attention has long been banned!

Mind being honest, we were always having scraps with each other as kids over something or other, but it was all fisticuffs with no weaponry involved. And after it we just shook hands and got on with each other. Funny thing was none of the teachers ever got involved with it, just let you get on and sort it out! But there is definitely a lack of discipline in schools these days, all due to the banning of corporal punishment and the snowflake brigade. Discipline never did me any harm at school, with the exception my arse resembled a zebra crossing at times, but I deserved it and admit it!

I would hate to have been a teacher in a mainstream school.  I taught in a school for the sad the bad and the mad, we could restrain the fukkers when they kicked off.

I was talking/drinking with a retired headmaster and his retired teacher wife from Paisley on hols. They taught in a school in Greenock years ago and bragged of their copious use of the strap and various other punishments in the good old days. Derek was a small mild mannered man I thought,until one night when an annoying wanker with man tits who used to stagger around talking complete bollocks despite being T total (don't know what the f.ck he was doing on an all inclusive holiday) imposed himself on us. "By f'ck I'd like to plant my fist in his gob 2 or 3 times!" hissed Derek,much to his wife Rosie's disgust and my amusement!

Some twats just ask for it Pat, don't matter how mild mannered some guys are you can push them just to far. As Dave has said many times, always speak to people as you would wish to be spoken to0 manners cost nowt. but there are always some who push the limits, then wonder why their sitting on their arse!
