Thy allus used ta see rabbits n game birds angin outside butchers shops. Remember when we used ta goo in n ask fer chicken feet so we could chase the lasses while pullin the tendons ta freeten em! 😆Â
I know people would mock them, but if you believe in ingrained superstition it's a terrible thing, don't have number 13 on anything, don't walk under that ladder and the like. But most come from common sense, you don't want a hammer falling on your nut!
Hide the sledge Dave!
She broke the fukker on mi crust Bob! 🤕Â
🤣 🤣 🤣 She's definitely a Swinger then Dave!Â
She is when she swings summat heavy held in her bread hooks at mi Bob! 😱Â
Buy yourself a Pitmans helmet Dave. There should be plenty about after the pit closures mate.😂👍
As a bin lid I ad one that an uncle gave me when eee worked down the threpenny bit. One o the owd black type tharra used ta wear when we played soldiers. Guess a shudda kept it Bob! 🤕Â
I used to wear what they called a putters cap Dave, it was more comfortable until you banged your nut on something hard!
Might av bin one o them Bob? ad a peak on it. 🤔Â
I was wearing one while taking a pony back to the stables, I was riding the pony when my nut came in contact with a broken pit prop sticking out of the roof between to girders, next thing I knew was lying on my back with a gash in my nut requiring several stiches! Didn't do that again, and to add insult to injury I got fined 10/-bob for riding the Galawa !
Fukk being a donkey walloper in the cavalry Bob! 🤕Â
We always looked after the Galawas Dave, used to take apples in for mine, they spent all their lives underground sounds cruel but it was a case of being cruel to be kind. Before my time they used to bring them up at pit Holliday's, the poor sods were that happy to be in green fields with the sun on their backs. But they used to run into the barbed wire fences and damage themselves. So they stopped it!
I,ve always loved animals Bob, make a friend of one and you have a friend for life and even though my old man and big bro were horse racing daft I never had any interest, in fact horse racing I would prefer the Jockeys to race while the horses watched especially The Grand National! 😆Â
