Pissed down here today as well, and I was also off to the hossy in Craigavon to get my kidney stones blasted. Funny old feeling like somebody's flicking your kidney with an elastic band, getting stronger as the treatment goes on over about half an hour, then pissing pure blood for a few hours. I read the letter they gave me for the GP and it said they'd fired 2276 shots at my kidney, the machine must've been in SF role I reckon! Another go in 4 weeks apparently! 🙄 

Try to keep away from hospitals but had to attend three times............ another wet day

I try to keep away from the medical profession all together, but they keep calling for me! Lovely sunny day here today, of course it would be after I finally gave in to 'Er Indoors and lit the Rayburn stove at 7 this morning when it was still dull and cold outside! 🙄 

Rheumatologist yesterday Bob at Sunderland n Tomorra, Union Jack surgeon at Washington just up the A19 at 9am, so up n out wi the doggys at 5am in preparation fer bein pissed off sittin in the waitin room clockin any decent growler passin thru. Spose it beats workin fer a livin but shite compared ta urdy gurdyin! Fukkin hate hospitals Pat, these days like playin "Spot The White Man!" Reminds mi o wetchin an owd Tarzan flick opin ta see a Jane wi big tits!

Not quite as bad over here yet Dave, although a few of the surgeons are Asians, but all the nurses at the stone bustin' place and the cancer centre where they're burning the thing outa me nut have been locals so far. Was booked into the local GP's place on saturday for the flu and covid jabs, but TLO had to change the appointment cos her c.nt of a father is in at the same time and I can't be in the same room as him so it's the end of the month now, hope the germs don't catch me before then anyway! 😜

Dave, at least it sounds like you have something decent to look at, ours is full of miserable buggers!

They sat behind a glass screen giggling away as they turned up the power bit by bit till according to the chart it was at 7 outa 10. Think they were having bets on when I'd ask to quit, but they don't know me so all bets are off when it comes to pain thresholds! This time they gave a box of codeine pills, a box of paracetamol and a couple of things to poke up yer arse before the start with instructions to take 2 of each 30 minutes before the start and then 2 pills every 4 hours after. There was no need to take anything after at all so they've gone into her drug stash along with about 50 other different pills acquired over the years, mostly out of date some time ago!

No the radiotherapy is in a couple of weeks Don, for the meningioma benign tumour they found in my nut during scans after my smash in the car. Only one session of intense bombardment of several different radioactive thingies, for which they made me a rather fetching plastic mask a bit like one of those plaster death masks they used to make of famous people they'd executed, doesn't bode well really! The thing the other day was just banging sonic waves off my kidney stones to make them swell up and eventually burst, another go at it in 4 weeks or so. Seems like it will be a regular thing as I keep manufacturing them and have had about 4 goes at this method plus going in with a laser to destroy them supposedly for good a few years back. Oh the joys of aging, the gift that keeps on giving! 😜
