Once again beautytash countryside Jack and gud toons and to top it off no sign of any soo-ap dodgers!!
Nice relaxing scenery Jack nice part of the world mate, looking at those old lads messing about on the river takes me back to my canoeing days in the squadron. The only downer to the Devizes to Westminster was the cold weather running up to the actual race on Good Friday. Bloody cold when some swan at Hungerford decided to mount your boat and drop you in the water! 🤪Â
On the way there I was held up by traffic collisions according to the paper yesterday quite a few in Norfolk. Yes Bob loved the canoeing not in the DW league though. I used to do wind surfing but work stopped that
Retirement? Manna from heaven! 😎Â
Jack it's a great sport mate, I remember Yorky Elmer and I being given an old Wessex K2 for the Army championships. It was like paddling the Bismarck but we shocked everyone by beating the class above us. Think it was either 1967 or 1968 can't remember which. But I was pleased to see the back of it.
Costs fukk all Jack apart from effort dunnit Jack? When in serious training, to avoid the owd bergan rash I used to do roadwork with a 5lb dumbell in each german band, a real bastard running up steep hills!
👍
Bad enough running up a steep hill without them Dave!
