Bollocks to the dry January Dave, all my lot bought me beer for Chrimbo in some shape or form, so I've been working my way through it. Some of it was quite good and tasty but some of it was a bit naff but I just smile and say thank you very much. Some of the lasses haven't got a clue as to what beer blokes like, but their hearts are in the right place bless them!

I'd rather drink water, and have done in the pub when I'm the driver. I like water and don't like fizzy drinks, and beer is for getting pissed not sinking gallons and pissing it out with no effect! And what about all those 0% gins vodkas and other 'spirits' what the f.ck's the point of them?

I never drink at home, except for very rare parties, but as you say Guinness is best for consistency. I like a real ale as well but hard to come by decent tasting stuff, especially since my mate the architect and brewer popped his clogs a few months back putting an end to his line of great IPA's. Been to a few beer festivals and it always amazes me reading descriptions like 'An aftertaste of horse blanket and wet spaniel', who the f.ck wants to drink something tasting like licking a dog's arse through a horse blanket?
