Nicked a pair of Barbour trousers out of a tractor on the move from Teal Inlet to Estancia House in '82 when we were kipping on the ground wrapped in only ponchos in -15 or so degrees, not a good look but they saved me from losing my feet I reckon. The lad they belonged to was only 16 and wearing only jeans and a shirt to drive the tractor for us slept on a sledge squeezed between about a dozen of the poncho wrapped lads and still remembered it as the worst night of his life when I met him 30 yrs later!
