A good mate of mine, Brian Hague 29 Cdo, did "P" Company, wings up and Falklands vet. Now has a lucrative scrap business and lives in a big old stone built gaff out in the cuds just outside Sheffield. Built like a brick shithouse and strong as an OX! Sups ale by the gallon n dunt fukk about in a scrap, geezers called us little n large, no prizes for guessin who little was! Ian Mckay VC was born in the village where he lives n sups, so he organised a remberance piss up and plaque on the battlecruiser wall in Ians honour which the Sheffield PRA lads attended, also the late Freda, Ians Mum also attended and had a great time in the lads company which really lifted her spirits. To top things off, Brian paid the bar bill for all the tiddly winks necked on the night. Top Geezer!
Good to see guys getting together after a few years, a lot who I associated with have unfortunately passed on. Looking at a photo of support troop taken in 1969, I was shocked when I counted how many blokes had disappeared off the scene.
