We are very sad to inform you of the death of Dave Abbot earlier this morning, Thursday 23rd May 2024 aged 85.

Dave joined 2 PARA in 1958 and completed 22 SAS selection in 1961, joining A Squadron (1 Troop). He served in a variety of roles in both A and B Squadrons and in the campaigns of the 1960's and 70's. He was also a PSI with 23 SAS serving with B Squadron in Leeds 1968-70. His final posting was as RSM ILRRP School between 1979-80 and was part of the team that established the school as a recognised NATO establishment. He left 22 SAS in 1980 after a long and successful career. He went on to work in the Security Industry.
