We were shocked by them after being under the impression they were at the top end of the infantry, when in fact we found their basic skills were shit from toms to SNCO's. They were full of drug takers and dealers and discipline was non existent. The no smoking rule in wooden huts in Norway was being broken by weed smokers, but when one of our lads reported that they were smoking dope the CSM just said to let them get on with it. The same CSM was later beaten to a pulp with a iron bar by a lad who then did a runner. When he was caught we thought he would be off to Colly and out, but he was just given a fortnight on cookhouse fatigues! A shitter mob I never encountered! 🙄

Dave there definitely is an attitude problem with some of todays generation. Bloke told me the other day,that his son no 45 has never had a job since he left school. His father said why don't you try for Border Force, he replied I don't want to work.

It's becoming the prevalent attitude among too many these days, and who can blame them when the benefits system is so easy to get into? Why would you get out of bed at zero crack sparrow's fart to grind away for minimum wage when the system will pay you enough to survive on, with possibly a house/flat thrown in, and if you fake it well enough a car as well? Especially as in some cases they're the third or fourth generation in the family on benefits, so there's no working example being set! I've read several articles where women particularly are worse off working, or would only earn 50 quid a month more after tax, and lose housing benefits etc making them thousands a year worse off by working. Scientists are warning that IA will kill us all by 2030 anyway so we won't need to worry about stuff like this! 🙄
