CommonSense n bein a so called brainy fukker deffo different qualities to posess, altho mi late big bruv, Grammer School n University wuz also a brill footy player who played fer Yorkshire Grammer Schools alongside later Pro players. That,s where the familiarity stopped, Me a B stream Secondary Modern pupil who,s only interests were all sports especially footy and avid interest in history, obviously also interest in the opposite sex was at the forefront of my mind. Personally I believe the greatest seat of learning is to be found at "The University Of Life" things that can never be taught in classrooms or any university. 🤔

My education was Secondary Modern, wish now I had knuckled under a bit more and paid attention instead of buggering about. But your right Dave school of life mate!

I was sent to a posh boarding school on a scholarship, but got expelled after 3 years for brewing beer and stealing and BBQ'ing the farmer's piglet. Secondary modern after that, so missed opportunities some, including Mother, would say. But I'd already decided Para Reg was my future, and 23 yrs there certainly taught me a lesson or two, so I wouldn't do it any other way, except maybe conceal the smoke/smell of the sizzling pig so the housemaster didn't catch me before I ate it! 😜

Think I learnt more after I left school than I did when I was there. it's true as you get older you get a bit wiser.

Maths was always a complication for me, I couldn't make any sense of algebra, nor think of any occasion when I would need to use it. And that has proven to be correct in my case.

So I will remain a thick twat! Honesty is the best policy, learnt that lesson well !

Never saw the point of that algebra either Bob, if you want to say 2 X 5 why call it X times Y, makes no sense to me! 🙄

"World Cup, England gerra last minute penalty n owd Arry Kane teks it, runs up n hits the ball so hard that the ball splits, bladder guz in the net n the leather outer guz o,er the bar. What will it be?" My answer wuz "Goal!" Wrong! The correct answer, "A fukkin Miracle!" 😆

Think old Harry Kane is the only one scoring goals at the moment. What grips me is these twats sliding on their knees when the score or doing somersaults. Has anybody told them their playing football not gymnastics,!

All about the ackers now Bob, used to be a "Well Done!" handshake. Now because o the amount of ackers to be made or lost, scoring almost as important as life and death, no wonder they go fukkin berserek, deffo not sport anymore, all about win at all cost!
