Reminds me of the opencast mining near Widdrington in Northumberland Jack,but funnily enough although it was a blight on the landscape you wouldn't recognize it had even been there now mate really transformed back to nature.

That,s like the coal mines that were once in Seaham Bob, now all closed and filled in, they just look like part of the natural landscape, housing and even a retail park these days. Looks nice but thousands of jobs gone, ultra high unemployment resulting in aimless unemployed youths and men addicted to the curse of drug abuse and crime.
