Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion.
The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit.
He will also toast The Fallen.
If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place.
As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year.
Update to follow reference Aldershot 10 Miler on the 20th November 2021.
.........................................................................................................................The 10 Miler will be held on w/e Saturday 23rd November 2024........................................................................................
Lot's of stuff we've eaten like that Dave, kids turn their noses up at it now but don't realise what the benefits of it are. Don't know what their missing !
Haven't had an ox heart for years, but the local farm shop butchers near me will get it on request, along with pig's trotters or head, lamb's or pig's hearts too. No point in bringing them into the house these days as all she eats is chicken, bacon or sausages! The other place to find them is the big chinese supermarket up the Ormeau Rd where they also do slabs of frozen duck tongues, chicken feet etc. Funnily enough the pig's feet, ears, trotters etc they sell in there all have a label from Corries, the butcher I mentioned at the start, but they can't display them for the fussy housewives that go in the main shop!
Too fukkin fussy them Wimmin Pat, she fukks mi off outa the kitchen sayin it,s er domain, so off ta the sandwich shop ta gerra liver n onion banjo, then scoff it in mi Guardroom.
One time you could go to the Pork Butcher and get a bloody great pork chop with the kidney in. but I believe it was an EU directive which stopped it ! So now were out can we please have our kidney back in chops ?
Worked with a big Yugoslav at the pit, some idiot took his banana out of his bait bag peeled it and stuck a turd in it, he went berserk I'm pleased I was working with him so he knew it wasn't me. Never did find out who did that one !
Once worked with a Jam Roll geezer Bob who served wi the Waffen SS in WW11, buit like a brick shithouse n strong az an OX, every fukker avoided upsetin im but wuz allus sound wi me, wi used ta do the owd fukkin about strength contests on the site, pullups on the scaffoldin, pickin im up to a standin position while eee stood on the lord lovell, 28lb sledge ammer sneck buster n mi favourite tharree bottled outa handstand on the ridge o the roof. Sed eee joined the box ee-ads after the Russians invaded n raped iz young wife, captured near the end o the war, shipped o,er ere n sent ta Lodge Moor POW camp up on the moors overlookin Sheffield, settled down n Sam n Harry,d a Sheffield tash, sed eee ad the greatest admiration for the fighting quality of the British "Red Berets".
Jim the price of light bulbs these days mate he'll probably put them to good use. In Tesco the other day £5.00 for two light bubs, now that is taking the piss !
It's getting ridiculous now Jim, they don't know what to charge mate, if it keeps going we'll all be eating bird seed. Hope not , might end up looking like Big Bird off Sesame Street !
