Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion.
The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit.
He will also toast The Fallen.
If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place.
As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year.

RIP Jimmy old friend
Hello Gil
Sad news I am afraid my dad passed away very peacefully last night in hospital. Very upsetting but very very proud of him and very proud to be his son. I hope we stay in touch. Your kind words have been amazing thankyou so very much.
I received this email from Jimmy's Son Andrew today:
Hello Phil
I have just been reading all the posts about my dad gosh incredible to know so many people cared. My dad passed away on Sat evening could you say a massive thankyou from myself and my family please. They are all heroes of mine each and every one of them and are an extension of our family. If you could post this please. It gives us so much strength, he fought to the bitter end just like paras do they are the best of the best. Once again thankyou so much I would like to say a special thankyou to Gil he will always be welcome at my house and I will hold him to the trip to the museum.
As a young recruit, there are men you look up to, who inspire you, to give of your best, to excel in things you only dreamed that you could do before.
For those who fell under Jimmy Kerr's shadow, at either Depot or back in the Battalion will have been touched by his soldiering skills, and one who was in that Elite band of respected Parachute Regiment Seniors, who commanded from the front, and never expected you to do, what they wouldn't do themselves.
Two other such leaders who I include in this who were friends of Jimmy's were Jon Easton RIP and Roger Jenner...............great men too!
When I finally made it to WO1 RSM with the TA, it was men like this I could thank for getting me there, to stick with it when all you wanted to do was pack it in.............
Most of us were just good soldiers, who emulated someone they looked up to in Battalion, to try and reach their level of professionalism....well for me, and I know others will agree, Jimmy Kerr was the man.
He was a tough, stocky PARA who always looked the part..................fearless, a breed apart. He was my Emperor and I shall miss you, you old bugger.
UTRINQUE PARATUS old friend.
One thing is sure in life....death, so I will see you at the final RV one day, where you can show me more skills.
You fought your final battle so bravely
Rest in Peace
Lots of love to all the family at this very sad time
I first met Jimmy way back when he was a L/Cpl.
He knew my dad, as he used to make a few visits to JPC, and pulled me to one side
and told me, that should I ever I had any problems to get back to him, because he knew my family was abroad,
and I had none to turn to.
A good man, and will never be forgotten.
RIP Jimmy.
