          Good to see.
I have always set myself a very low standard, and constantly fail to achieve it.

                  Re: Alan Cranston

Just spoke to Albert. The Military Liaison officer is not a Commander RN as I first stated, he is Wing Cmdr Don Turnbull RAF, and he has in the past flown us. He is attending Alans' funeral too. Unfortunately he can't get the Swedish paras to carry Alans' coffin. Apparently it's against some rules. I have to say I thought this country was bad for bureaucracy and red tape but since this sorry tale began I can tell you Sweden is worse.

After living there for a few years Don I'm with you on that one.
Its funny because when I told the wife about them carrying Alans coffin. She gave me that knowing look and said fat chance of that.

I have been out of the country and have only read this awful news about a very intelligent and humurous Airborne Brother. RIP ALAN, you are in a better place - our sincere condolences to KIRSTI and we can only hope that she is getting some comfort from knowing the respect that this club had for Alan in his long and courageous fight against the dreaded "crab".
