Nobby Menzies was the QM for 3 Para in the Falklands and by all accounts backed the lads up all the way. I remember Nobby as a Tom, he was selected as the 'face' of the army in the 1960/70s advertising campaign because of his looks, I felt a bit let down when I did not get the job. Always found Nobby to be totally 100% army and Para, as a Cpl he imnstuctyed on a NCO's cadre I went on in 1 Para, From Tom to Lt Col says something about a soldier. rest in peace Nobby, the lad did well
