No point mate. All the MP's, MEP's think immigration is a good thing. Here's an email I sent to my SNP MEP yesterday after getting a happy clappy email from him:

I am basically in favour of leaving the EU.

I am however concerned that this would enable this bunch of Neo Liberal psychopaths currently in power to ramp up their up their unnecessary, ideological assault on the sick, disabled and unemployed. In or out of the EU, and almost immediately, they could sign us up to TTIP including the ISDS process and privatise the NHS and any other service of the US corporations choosing. This would allow the corporations to ignore employment, environmental and safety regulations etc subjecting us to much lower US standards.

This Government has already enabled the highly toxic and environmentally destructive fracking process in England. If we were to remain in Europe, say after an out vote, would the Scottish Government be able to maintain its current ban on fracking when the corporations apply their pressure and take it to one of their ISDS tribunals paid for by them and staffed by their personnel?

I do not understand how capping bankers bonuses will ward off another crash. They seem to be carrying on their practises as usual, with impunity. What's needed is total re-regulation of the financial sector.

We should stop selling off our infrastructure to foreign companies which props up their countries pension funds for example. We should not be awarding large contracts, especially for such a vital project as a power station to foreign Governments while our own steel industry declines. I have read that BAe have awarded manufacturing licences to Canada and other countries which could see the demise of Clyde Shipbuilding. Could an Independent Scottish Government, in or out of the EU do anything to prevent this?

Recently I saw a report of immigration costing the UK £17Bn/yr, I have also seen reports of immigrants contributing anything from "£55/sec" to n£Bn's/yr. I do believe that immigration of the right type, e.g. the qualified people in the NHS, is good for the country. The problem is, I have seen many reports on BBC, Ch4, Ch5 and other sections of the media, of immigrants who are clearly here to simply take advantage of our benefits system. Panorama's documentary on the professional aggressive beggars in London, and reports of immigrants sitting around the parks etc, in Mayfair and Marble Arch turning them into public latrines. What is the contribution of this type of immigrant? We should be allowed to recruit good quality staff from out with the EU.

I'm sure you're aware that Scotland has also had our own share of the wrong type of immigrant. The hard working immigrant victim in the famous head on the beach case in Brechin, the hard working immigrant waitress in a pizza restaurant in Glasgow, the hard working English lady victim in Queens Park all murdered by immigrants, one with a previous murder conviction and seven year prison term in Germany. Then there was the multiple rape of a girl in Edinburgh by two Polish immigrants.

I'm sure there are more examples but these are the ones that spring to mind. I find myself in agreement with UKIP on the immigration points system.

My sister in law and her partner both have PhD's and are both research scientists and university lecturers in Australia. You would not believe the hoops they had to jump through to; a) live and work there and b) become citizens. I think we should have a much more restrictive immigrant entry procedure in the UK.

You are correct. I do wonder why the SNP are so keen to achieve independence from Westminster, which I was happy to vote Yes for, but are seemingly willing to surrender same to the EU.

Will Scotland be in the same position as the UK, in the sense we won't be allowed to pass our own laws or trade with other countries without EU consent? Will Scotland be forced to join the €, after all, according to project fear, (Independence), if we're independent of Westminster, apparently using Sterling is illegal. No doubt if UK votes out, project fear Mk2, (EU), will make the same claim if Scotland applied for EU membership. It is the stated aim of "The Project ", to have a common currency. What is the SNP position on this?

Well written Don, it would be nice if it got through to the wooden headed bastards that have allowed the UK to get into this situation in the first place.
unfortunately looking at the above post, it would seem the damage has been done long before Angela Merkels open door policy. The fanaticism goes back centuries, but it's only now due to do gooders and inept politicians that they have been given Carte Blanche, through the sympathy policy to do exactly as they like. And we by expressing our views openly, because we want to gain control of our country for the indigenous population,are classed as racist. Well that's fine by me, as long as we stop the bastards in their tracks !

I would like to pull a coup and arrest the whole lot for what they have done to these Western Nations.. Lift them all one morning, jail them in regional jails and start sorting through their voting record and conduct as a whole...... because anything that is wrong with a nation.....

My local MP,who was quoted as the most expensive in Westminster at 203 000 quid expenses last year,has been told to give back a paltry 14 grand,'mistakenly' applied for.His expenses claims for staff travel accounted for 25% of the entire budget in the House for last year!No blame has been laid at his door,it was simply a 'misunderstanding of the procedures for claims'.
