    Taken last year when I was 70. If the Government would play fair and stop stealing my War Pension then I could stop risking my neck and knackering my old bones.Treeman1.JPG

      Chris, they don't give a bugger mate, it's alright for them sitting on their arses with bits of paper in their hands making rules and regulations saying yes these people will have to work longer if the want their old age pension ! They have never done a days hard manual labour in their lives mate and nor are they ever likely too! That silly cow Edwina Currie, recently said there are no need for food banks, I'd like to see her living on benefits in a deprived area, and have her benefits stopped for some reason and then try to put a meal on the table. Out of touch with the outside world or what ?

          Feck Chris, I didn't realise you were so bad you had to use that contraption just to get out of bed.
          I have always set myself a very low standard, and constantly fail to achieve it.

            Chris I don't understand.
            I thought they were not supposed to touch WP after 65? Or at least they should not account for WP when on OAP.
            They don't down here in the NF anyway.

                John. Without the WP I qualify for Pension Credit to the tune of £66 a week, on top of a reduced old age pension. The clever people running the scheme (thieves) take into account the WP which then stops me getting the Pension Credit. For some strange reason they allow me to keep £10 of the WP. Apparently these rules don't apply if you were invalided out after 1975. A War Disability Pension is compensation for injuries incurred while serving Queen and Country; it is not an occupational pension. If a civvy gets Disability Living Allowance which is the civvy equivalent of a WP, then the same clever people disregard it and award the Pension Credit. Basically it's discrimination against Service folk and is allowed to continue until we get some form of elected representation. Fire Service, Police, NHS, Teachers etc, don't get shit on; neither should we.

                    Thanks Chris, yes now I understand.
                    Whilst on PC myself a few years before retirement it was the same with me. Even when WP gave me back pay it was stopped by PC.
                    Altogether just under £10k that they clawed by from me.
                    A petition has been put forward, but at the moment its frozen due to the elections;

                      Does this mean that if I claim PC in Sept when i'm eligible, they'll take my WP off me?
