Dave.... People vote with out a clue what they are voting for. Like that deal in Scotland with 16 year olds. Its a perversion of the original intent. When i was 16 I was as daft as a brush.

as you know tone the average joe blow is not taught in schools or colleges for years now on civil duties or religion for instance...... but if ye ask them about snooky or kanye they will make the top 100% and after that filmed in san diego what do you expect

I've noticed for a long time now that young people appearing on the quiz shows on TV have no depth of knowledge in general.Only able to answer questions on music and "reality" shows,ask them anything on even recent history,or world events happening around them and they know f.ck all!Even in the pub anyone under 30 or so is not interested in anything outside their immediate surroundings or popular culture as they see it.

Pat, a bloke at our gym said to me I'm shocked, he asked a girl about the date 1066, she said "what's that all about then ? " this girl is 28 years old has a university degree, and works as a sports physiotherapist . The mind boggles mate, if it doesn't relate to mobile phone apps or music their not bloody interested. !

- Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion. The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit. He will also toast The Fallen. If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place. As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year. Update to follow reference Aldershot 10 Miler on the 20th November 2021.
