Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion.
The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit.
He will also toast The Fallen.
If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place.
As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year.
Update to follow reference Aldershot 10 Miler on the 20th November 2021.

Farmers gerrin their crops in, fields ploughed, so it,s Hi Ho off with the Hurdy Gurdy I go!
Went out on Tuesday and tried around the old Roman salt road that runs through County Durham and up to Hadrians Wall.
Dug up usual load o scrap, bits of plough and parts off tractors etc, plus a few lead musket balls, then finally summat that looked quite interesting.
Covered in verdigree and shite, looked like an old bronze bangle, so off back to base for further inspection.
Further magnification proved really interesting, although the item was partially broken probably due to plough damage, the pattern and design looked superb. Roman bracelet no less.
According to experts you,re not supposed to clean artefacts, but me being a nosy f.cker decided to get stuck in and get down to the nitty gritty.
After a few hours of painstaking bulling up, the end result is quite remarkable, giving you respect and appreciation of the skills the metal workers posessed nearly two thousand years ago. 002.jpg003.jpg008.jpg005.jpg007.jpg

I think it is Roman Dave. It looks like it has been cast with the Lost Wax method which is what they used. The later Pagans Britons Celts Saxons Vikings beat theirs into shape but that has been poured. They Romans sculpted the article out of wax then they encased it in plaster with a small hole then they poured in the molten silver or gold which melted and displaced the wax. Finally they knocked off the mould and buffed it up. I think that is what that is. It is probably Roman mate. Its a good find eh ?

Hi Dave, well done, thought about a metal detector,a few times,do you have any advice on makes models costs etc any advice welcome,
Jim.
Jim, you don,t need to spend a lot of cash on an all singing all dancing machine, as is usually the case in life, "basic is best." The Garrard 150 is the best basic on the market, Yank made, it,s shit hot, discriminates and is piss easy to use. You can pick one up new for around 150 notes. Any advice at all, just pm me and I will only be too pleased to help.

I don't even need a hurdy gurdy. I just detected a lager in the fridge and with it being Fathers Day tomorrow, I'm pretty sure I can detect a trifle being made.
I have always set myself a very low standard, and constantly fail to achieve it.
