Physically Exhausted and Injured Former Para Doyle Gains 3 More Cross Country Records
    2 May 2014.

The last four weeks has certainly been a tough and challenging time for former Para Paddy Doyle, the endurance athlete has achieved a remarkable twelve cross country speed march records ranging from 1 km to 13 mile carrying various back pack weights of 60lb to 100lb packs. The Heart of England Way official foot path Solihull West Midlands was once again chosen for three more titles. Doyle who was already exhausted from the previous walks set new record times, listed are some of the results:

. 1 mile cross country speed march carrying 60 lb back pack: Time 13 mins: 55 secs. Set 02/05/14
.5 mile cross country speed march carrying 60 lb back pack: Time 1 hr:10 mins: 03 secs. Set 02/05/14
.5 mile cross country speed march carrying 80 lb back pack: Time 1 hr:15 mins: 42 secs. Set 25/04/14
.10 mile cross country speed march carrying 80 lb back pack: Time 2 hrs: 44 mins: 26 secs. Set 25/04/14

Doyle said" I could feel it mentally and physically near the end of each distance feeling sick and at one stage vomiting, but I just dug deep and cut out the cramp setting in, and although I was feeling tired I listened to my team pacers who pushed me to the finish line, cross country terrain is far different than running on the flat you have to be more self supportive and physically tougher to deal with the inclines, stiles and narrow muddy foot paths."

His total of career strength speed stamina titles is now 337 which he currently holds 216 documented fitness endurance records recognized by various World Record governing bodies. Check out www.staminaforlife.co.uk for more info.

That's nothing. I had to get out of the armchair, walk to the fridge and get my own beer last night. the missus was not well. Like Paddy, I felt physically sick by the time I got back to the armchair. but, obviously being 9 Sqn, you wont hear me complaining about it.
I have always set myself a very low standard, and constantly fail to achieve it.

a 59 Cdo. Would have just collapsed at the fridge before opening the beer. You are a true hero. I do not think that there is enough recognition of your selfless activities on the beer front. I may ask Bet Windsor to give you a knighthood next time she pops in to borrow a chainsaw.

well, the word "hero" is thrown around a bit too easily Mick, but in this case you would probably get no arguments.

When I first came over here and people spoke of the "bush", I thought it was some specific sort of tree. Used to drive past a large shrub and I'd say "is that the bush", wondered why people gave me strange looks.
