Bob, i forget the bloke in front of Jim Harrower and can't make out him behind Paddy Lindsay, i don't know him behind Gerry and Jeff. Merv Bassett was a L/jack when i was at 24Sqn, ended up a Lt Col, there are many there who went on to a commission.

Don, the bloke beside Jeff Lagford is Pete Bates, he's a millionaire mate. Made his money by owning his own security firm. The bloke in front of Dave Rutter, is Richard (Jock)Fleck, AKA Fennymore don't ask my why, whatever attributed that to him was after my time!

Fukkin hell Bob, so it is, another fellow diver, as is Pete Kershaw. I last spoke to PB about 20yrs ago. He told me had just sold his company and i think the figure of around £2M was mentioned.

There is some good old lads on that Photo Don, Pete Bates was running a firm called Securiguard, They were emploed at Aldermaston doing escort duties while I was there with the MOD Plod! It wasn't until I retired and bumped into Pete on the Snowdonia Events, that he told me that he ran the firm!
