Today, 'they' imposed an unconscionable price rise on a nation already struggling as a result of previous Government policies. The Government stand by and do NOTHIN, allowing them to impose this unconscionable price rise on a nation already struggling as a result of previous Government policies.
The corporations feel free to proceed with this, safe in the knowledge that this Government will act in their favour. This has been proven over and over during the last 40yrs from PFI to "soft touch", to allowing CEO's to link their "compensation" to their stock price, right up to the QE freebie.
Don't forget, it's not just we ordinary people affected by this, at least we have the 'protection' of the energy cap. I would hate to be in business these days. The Government keep harping on about "certainty/stability" for businesses. There is certainly none of that about these days, i can easily envisage towns with no pubs and restaurants.
This is my latest estimate, based on last years usage and in three months time, it could go to £5000:
