    Re: Monty visits the blokes....

    Ron,
Currently with COVID when they open on the 1st August........no parties bigger than 30 admitted, so it does look like an event for next year and by then I will try to tie something in with 16 Air Assaults day on site where they show all their kit including the Apache's from Wattisham, part of 16 AA.
Its all doable, just need to get this virus thingy out of the way!!
Lets see what the BAFC committee want to do around it, if its applicable to running yet another event for members, easy talk but a pain sometimes so far out of Cambridge if the local hotels are full, and of course if its a big event on site, they'll be booked by other punters too, becuase it is a three day visit if you do all the hangars and exhibits.

On mi 'to do' list before I peg it. Got to get out to France with a guy who wrote a book about mi Brit grandads regiment (8th East Lancs) in WW1, he knows where every move took place, and still some outline trenches apparently. According to both grandads (Brit and Kraut) they worked out they were within half a mile of each other at one point. The stupidity of war! 3 days to get round Duxford, think it took about 10 minutes when it was in Maida. Summat to look forward to when this shit is over, assuming still here.
