    Re: Para Reminder

John..... I was next to one through a pane of glass at the Wild Animal Park about ten years ago. I had no idea they were so big. Fookin thing was about seven feet long and a full 3 feet at the shoulders. What got me was the sheer size of its head. It would trot off with you no effort at all. Bugger having them things tiptoing around the back garden. Mind you we have Mountain Lions here but you never see them. Thank fook. One nailed a tramp kipping rough not so long back in Hemet. Another did a camper up North. Juveniles probably. You would have a hard time getting away from a full grown male. Dead rare though. Only 15 since 1890 apparently. Six fatal. All in Calif. I can remember four of them

Cub tracks I came across once, and their pads were the size of a normal pen.
How strange, this afternoon I was looking at my ole dads service records, for the addresses we lived at in Malaya.
One place was called Jalan Dorset (Kluang) when he was an instructor in the Gurkhas).
Anyway I was only about 11 at the time, when one morning he was out on the veranda, and came back in and told us to stay inside.
He had seen Tiger fur on the railing of the veranda. So we looked out of the windows, and after a minute or two were heard this almighty
Sounds, and saw to the right of us approx 100yds, a tiger getting a hold of a bullock and throwing it over its head. Now you know how big
      a paddy field bullock is?

John I think a tiger must have pissed in mine, but it still runs even if it's not very pretty. Can't ask for more than that mate.

Homework Tony?? At the time I was 10 ish I only spoke English from the age of 7 - 8 Could use a bow and arrow though.
Which used to travel at least 15'. Its was the same place that I had my first scorpion sting.
Did a bad thing at the time, I ran home, Lucky Dad was home as he got a razor blade sliced open the wound, and poured in a bottle of vinegar.
I was a bit shy of walking through long lalang with flipflops after that.
