Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion.
The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit.
He will also toast The Fallen.
If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place.
As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year.

Would be great on Australian beaches, problem is, it probably only does 5 miles to the gallon.

Yep it would be about five. I have a flat bed with a Ford 460 ci that gets about five pulling a trailer. I have a Chevy Tipper that gets ten with an 8.1 litre Chevy engine though. Diesel is best but we can't get them past CARB's loony new regulations. What is good in the other 49 States won't do here. (California Air Resources Board)

John... Anything older than 2011 is coming off the road on Jan 1st 2020 Or be limited to 416 miles a month. .... It ain't just trucks though....its everything. I know at least 30 concrete pumpers that have left California for Texas ...Tennessee....Georgia. Working blokes can't afford to scrap a 100 000 dollar well maintained diesel concrete pump that purrs like a kitten, because some Vietnamese Walter, with false credentials he bought on the web, in the Air Resources Board, fudged a load of psuedo science. So they sell their house and split. Forced out.....Trucking Companies are leaving in droves. Its driving delivery prices and especially food and restaurant prices through the roof.
Four women and one Vietcong, are wreaking havoc. I can get a beautiful well maintained 90's or low 2000's Diesel Tipper a hundred yards the other side of the Colorado River in Arizona for ten grand but I live in California so I have to come up with a 100 000 bucks. So we went with and 2003 8.1 Litre Chevy C7500 Dump Truck I got for 25000, with 14000 miles on it, from the City of Los Angeles Highway Dept. Which is ok but it costs 50% more in gas mileage and is only half as strong foot pounds wise as a Cummins Diesel. What you gonna do ? This is La La Land mate. Land of the Fruit and Nuts. Gotta keep going despite these fookin' idiots.
I can't see that diesel is any different to petrol, when it comes to pollution Tony.
I honestly believe in the conspiracy theory of the World order. A bit like our beef being banned for 10 years because of foot and mouth.
We have for some years now been importing Japanese cars. Because they can not have any motors over there that are older than 3 years.
So dump them on to us. I did in fact buy a 3 year old Toyota 4x4 about 10 years ago.
Brilliant car at the time.
I wonder if that Jap policy will ever catch on elsewhere?
