Wonder who the jammy fukker that gets to pack the snow into the barrel is? Presumably a four man team, so either No 3 or 4?

Been looking on Wikiwotsit about the Maxim, and found that, invented in London,it's been used by just about every army in the world,in every war since the 1890's,and still a few knocking about today.A forerunner of Ron's beloved Vickers,it was made in about every calibre you can think of,including a Royal Navy .50",and a 'Pom Pom' version, firing a 1lb shell!550-600 rpm, crew of 4-6 to move it,and it's ammo about, and mounted on everything from horse and cart to aircraft, including a mean looking quad version, sights go to 2700m.The port on the top that the Russians added to stuff snow in,turns out to be a tractor radiator cap, clever chaps those Russkies!

Nice, but would prefer a nice Vickers!
There are some great WW11 guns about, shame they have to be de-activated.

Vickers would be great, but about 4 times the price!Even a deac SLR costs more than I paid for this, from the same firm!

If I could afford the Bentley, I could afford the Vickers!

Would lie in wait for the RAF as they fly down the pass, see how good their reaction to effective enemy fire is!

They might think it's friendly fire if they know your neighbour with the Jeremy Beadle hands is in residence!
