        had the pleasure to serve with tiger jones x 3 para he was on that attack on suez.. he later joined us in 1 para at palace bks good bloke rip tiger
        shankhill rd to the battle school " carpe diem"

                      Oh,come on John,Jonah,swallowed by the whale,the symbolic name for anyone bringing bad luck to a ship/expedition/enterprise of any type!
                      Mount Longdon was 3 Para's moment.The forgotten battle,as it became,because the surrender on the 14th broke through the 2 day delay imposed on news,and overshadowed it in the media.The biggest and most costly engagement of the conflict only merited about 12 lines in the Mirror,and very little since.Oh well!
