Re: 403'd to death
I got that as well Bob thanks to CSM Menzies..... .
Straightening me tie...."Bradley.... If the Queens tailor dressed yew...yew would still look like a bag of shit".
In the dressing room at Windsor Barracks. 3Para was taking over from the Guards for a while. I missed the coach by a few minutes....I thought fook me he will lock me up and throw the key away, so I hopped on the Farnborough Rd by the Boxing Centre and thumbed it to London with me Greatcoat on a hanger. Bloke picked me up by the Duke of York in Camberley was an ex Coldcreamer going to London and drove me right to Windsor barracks. Could not believe my luck.
"WHERE THE FOOK YEW BIN" Menzies said.
"I missed the bus and hitchiked it".
"I'LL HAVE YEW LATER".....but he never did .Last edited by trubrit2411; 1 May 2020, 11:39."If they control your speech.....they control your life"

Re: 403'd to death
Bit like when Twa Heeds and somebody else whose name escapes me sneaked away to leave me asleep at the back of the train on the way back from advanced wales in depot. When the time came to change at Reading the bastards left me there, denying all knowledge at the head check on the platform. The next I knew was a train guard waking me saying "You're here mate" at Paddington. Penniless, had to hop a couple of trains to get across london and back to North Camp, where I scrounged 10p to phone Depot and ask for a lift. The answer of course was "F.ck off, walk it,and think what's going to happen when you get here!" The longest walk of my life, down Queens Ave,almost in tears imagining my punishment, and possible ban from going to Brize the following day! Arrived back in the block where Cpl Chris Forrester told me to drop my gear, stand in the toilet, eyes closed, and await his punishment. Stood for a good ten minutes, stomach clenched, eyes closed, waiting for the punch that never came, only to see half the platoon stood shaking silently with mirth in the doorway. The staff were fully aware of what had happened after Twa Heeds confessed, and thought it would be funny to make me sweat! Off to Brize the next morning thank f.ck!!
