Deep Purple, Child in Time; Made in Japan live album

A snippet of that iconic anti-war song

The line that's drawn between the good and the bad
See the blind man, he's shooting at the world
The bullets flying, they're taking toll
If you've been bad, Lord, I bet you have

And you've not been hit by flying lead
You've not been hit by flying lead
    You'd better close your eyes
    You'd better bow your head

    Wait for the ricochet
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I'm cryin' for you day and night
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

    A-a-ah, a-a-ah
I want to hear you say
    A-a-ah, a-a-ah
Sweet child in time, you'll see the line

The line that's drawn between the good of us and the bad of us
See the blind man, shooting at the world
The bullets flying, they're killing everyone
If you've been bad, Lord, I bet you have

And you've not been hit by flying lead
You've not been hit by flying lead
    You'd better close your eyes
    You'd better bow your head

    Wait for the ricochet
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I want to be inside of you
    Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

    A-a-ah, a-a-ah
    I gotta hear you sing
    A-a-ah, a-a-ah
    - You're only about four foot six, but don't worry about it, 'cause there's always someone smaller

than you. You're about seven foot fourteen, don't worry about it either... ...there's always someone one million stone heavier than you...

Good to see some decent poetry on the poetry thread.
I have always set myself a very low standard, and constantly fail to achieve it.

I beg to differ John old chap, but if you re-read your post 'Types Of poetry',You'll find at the bottom of the second column 'Prose and Prose poetry'!So according to your good self, who is always right, without fail, prose is,in fact, classed as poetry!!!!

"There once was a chappie from Eyam,
Who invented an arse wiping machine,
              On the ninety ninth stroke,
              The bastard broke,
And whipped his balls to cream. Boom Boom!
