Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion.
The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit.
He will also toast The Fallen.
If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place.
As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year.

Gus Hales, Ex 9 Para Sqn RE Class of 82. He has arrived at his FRV to begin his protest and dug in. Gus is staging a Hunger Strike in protest ref PTSD, Suicide rates among veterans and also justice for Northern Ireland veterans, not prosecutions.
The Protest is taking place outside Combat Stress, Audley Court, Newport Shropshire TF10 7BP. Please support Gus however you can and get this on every Veterans Facebook page and Groups. God bless you Gus. I just spoke to him and he's absolutely resolute. He will need resups, battery power and support. Poss live FB feeds too if anyone can assist.

DEEP IN MY MIND WHERE NOBODY GOES
Every year on Remembrance Sunday’
I sit in the corner of the British Legion Bar,
Dressed in blazer, shirt, Regimental tie,
And polished shoes, with my head held high.
But deep in my mind, where nobody goes,
I see a wooden cross where the wind of victory lies.
“Three Cheers for Victory,” I hear the politician say.
But you never asked me about my victory.
And, if they did, I would have explained it this way:
It isn’t your flags or emblems of war,
Or the marching of troops past the Palace’s door.
It isn’t Mrs Thatcher on the balcony high,
Reaffirming her pledge to serve or die.
But it’s the look and the pain on a teenager’s face
As he dies for his country, in a far off place.
It’s the guns and the shells and the Phosphorus grenades,
And the wounded and the dead in freshly cut graves,
Or the grieving wife or the fatherless child,
Whose young, tender life will be forever defiled:
Or the alcoholic soldier with a shattered mind,
Who takes the suicide option for some peace to find.

Don't remember Gus, Don, but they mentioned he was also going on Hunger strike? That's a very worrying development if true, will grab some attention but rather he stopped the hunger strike nothing to gain in my view as he has already got the media attention which will make the Government squirm.

Tony, I don't think he's intending to imitate Bobby Sands, he is taking liquids, but as you say, he has achieved his publicity aim.
