    Sergia Rachmaninoff.
    1873-1943.
    Semyonovo.
    Great Novgorod. Russia.

    Into aristocracy Rachmaninoff was born,
    Northern Russia and an artic morn,
    piano lessons at the age of four,
    an early start into Russian folklore.

    His parents were amateur pianists,
    an ageing grandfather also assists,
    he brings a teacher from afar,
    Anna Omatskaya much skill, savoir.

    She remained and trained for three years,
    till despair fear and mortgage arrears,
    the house was sold to settle debts,
    Anne leaves with sighs and regrets.

    Saint Petersburg the Rachmaninoffs moved,
    young Sergia quickly disapproved,
    off to Moscow all alone,
    Moscow Conservatory and a teachers home.

    Nikolai Zverev was strict and severe,
    Sergia admitted he made his career,
    great skills in piano and composition,
    probably Russia's greatest musician.

      iamb – one unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable (e.g. describe, Include, retract)
      trochee – one stressed syllable followed by an unstressed syllable (e.g. picture, flower)
      dactyl – one stressed syllable followed by two unstressed syllables (e.g.annotate an-no-tate)
      anapest – two unstressed syllables followed by one stressed syllable (e.g. comprehend com-pre-hend)
      spondee – two stressed syllables together (e.g. e-nough)
      pyrrhic – two unstressed syllables together (rare, usually used to end dactylic hexameter)
