Around 40c and bleedin humid lately. Yesterday was the worst day yet. About midday there was a huge crash and a tree branch had fallen from our property across next door driveway. When i say branch these trees are feckin monsters. the branch was about 30 feet long with lots of smaller branches coming off it. bloke next door didn't have a chainsaw, and mine fell to bits a while back, so we got to work with hand saws for an hour or so until daughter's boyfriend turned up with his chainsaw and finished it off. then we had to carry all the lumps of wood around to our property. took about 3 hours all up. I was drenched in sweat and stood under a cold shower for 30 minutes with a can of beer. Can hardly walk today. Think i may be getting a bit old for living in the country

Pay my fare and extra baggage to bring my saw and I'll rip all yer trees down Steve! I'll even bring my tractor and splitter to turn 'em into logs if you like!

If Steve has got 40c temperature's do you really think he needs a wood burner to get rid of his trees. A chipper might be a good idea, then if he falls off another ladder he might have some protection!

Remember two weeks ago when I complained because it was 40c. Well now, that was the good old days. 43c today. which is feckin hot for here. We are about 3 hours south of Perth where 43c isn't anything special. Sometimes I miss a rainy Manchester day. Mind you that feeling doesn't last very long.

It could drive a lesser man to drink, Dave. And, I am a lesser man.
