Having taken into account the current COVID restrictions that currently apply in the different parts of the UK, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 reunion.
The Chairman Nick Butler will be heading up the Fan at 0930 hrs on Saturday the 15th May and he will lay a BAFC wreath on behalf of the Club at the summit.
He will also toast The Fallen.
If other members wish to make their own pilgrimage up the Fan at their own risk please follow the relevant COVID restrictions that will be in place.
As a Club we are not able to accept liability for members safety and well being over the weekend of 14/15 May. Our Clubs insurance that normally covers Fandance will not operate this year.
Update to follow reference Aldershot 10 Miler on the 20th November 2021.

I spoke with Trevor Howard and Keith 'Gus' Walker 54 years or 'Gus' as many would know him was Ex 1 Para 80's, and then 3 Yorks Regt TA in Rotherham and living in Maltby, Rotherham. Trevor had been ill for some time but like so many kept it to him self knowing the inevitable outcome.
I am sure his decision to keep it to his self was to protect those he loved from the hurt they would share. I'm not always convinced that succeeds as those who love you want to be with you and shared the last months, years.
Never the less it was a brave decision and in true Airborne Spirit. Rest in Peace Keith 'Gus' Walker His funeral will be at Rotherham Crematorium Thursday 25th April 3 pm.
All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.
Sir Winston Churchill
Huey, thanks for the heads up. Like Gus, Im not flavour of the month with the Walker family due to not joining the local regts. Keith and I always endured wise cracks by family members at weddings etc for joining Para Regt. Keith's own kids, young Keith and Katrina didn't know of their fathers illness, that was the person he was, no fuss, just crack on. I have tried to get a message to an old 1 Para member in Maltby via my sis, so if anyone has the details of Mick Smith (Mortars i think) and let him know of the funeral details. Also, one of Keith's mates who is a member on here Dave Woods.
