                  That is astonishing. Absolutely genuine, THIS MORNING I was thinking about the lads who did P Coy etc and Basic Para around time I did mine, Les came to mind, we did selection together, he was never bringing up the rear, and we were posted to 1 Para MMG's together. I was wondering this morning if there was any way I could contact Les. Les's army number was one immediately after my number. He was quite strong and did the (is it) Devizes to London canoe race for a number of years with 1 Para. Les went on the MMG course to Netheravon and got one of the highest results they had ever had at the Machine-gun School. What is it that causes you to think about a person for the first time in years, and it coincides with their passing? It seems that he had a difficult few years before he passed away which must have been traumatic for his family. Rest in Peace Les old mate. Wig (Ron)
