Sad news of the sudden death of Peter Wildblood.
A Trustee of the Museum and volunteer since it started at Duxford in 2008.
Went in for a routine infection of the lung operation and died with complications.
He was a real gentleman, great sense of humour.
His Military service was exceptional, and he was typically modest about it. He was the first British Army soldier to have passed the U.S. Ranger course and he also served in 22.
His final position was with 1 PARA, known by many on here as a very fair man and a respected Officer.
He will be sadly missed by us all at Duxford.
His funeral will be held at 1530hrs Wednesday the 22nd of November at St Marys Church, Saffron Walden in Essex, with a wake at the Eight Bells afterwards.
RIP Old friend
