As maelstroms go..., it was a mother of all maelstroms
Bombs!
All types imaginable
Then as quiet as a Sunday stroll over dark peak
And there we were..., crisp underfoot
On terrain easily navigable
Out in the open
Stretcher laden with killing kit
Search and destroy arty game
This way or that?
Scrape, run or just sit?
It's funny how your mind works when your deep in shit
God, mum..., all seem so far away
Madness to stay
On a billiard table with grenades rolling back and forth
Only way is forwards
Towards...,
The firefight


It never leaves you, that sense of I want to live.
Yet knowing it ain't really your call.

Actually John..., you've really hurt me... You could have posted: no brain, ponse, small appendage etc. however to call me a Walter Mitty goes beyond nasty.. Libellous even. My solicitors are looking into litigation. I can only pass on unification details as and when I receive them from my Far East contact in Seoul. Accuracy is beyond my pay grade.
